Tøri Gjendal is a visual artist working predominantly within photography and moving image. She graduates from the London College of Communication in May 2017. Her work is cinematic, poetic and dreamlike – often operating at the point where documentary and staged photography meet.
Growing up she was determined to document life. to preserve life. This urge has developed into an interest in how a person is affected by the past and present, and she is now seeking to document what we cannot see; exploring the sublime and the underlying emotions behind our polished surfaces.
